H. Dean Hallman

H. Dean Hallman, 67, of Dawsonville, died May 24, 2012.

Born April 27, 1945 in South Carolina, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 20 years.

Mr. Hallman was a general contractor specializing in residential construction. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, four wheeling and golf.

His mother, Helen Martin, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammie Lanford, Deana Sanderson, both of Lexington, S.C.; grandsons, Martin Lanford, Riley Sanderson, Cody Sanderson; father, Marquis Martin of Spartanburg, S.C.; brothers, Dennis Martin of Columbia, S.C.; Darron Martin of Santee, S.C.; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. May 27 at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Eric Johnson officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
