Marvin L. Jett, 83, of Cumming, died May 12, 2012.

He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

His wife, Aby Akins Jett, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Sams and Lee Berrong of Cleveland, James and Nancy Jett of Tennessee, Johnnie and Sarah Jett, Brenda Chastain and Mark Luttrell, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Timmy and Jessica Sams, Mitchell and Debbie Sams, Matthew and Dianne Jett, Steven Jett, Charlene and Ben Day, Jeffery and Tonya Bell; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cody, Hunter, Eva, Shalyn, Taya, Bailey, Kayla, Logan, Brandon, Jacob, Brittany, Tyler; great-great-grandchild, Gracie; brother, Fred Jett of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 14 at Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Woody officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
