Verna Mae Mills

Verna Mae Mills, 78, of Cumming, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her home.

A native of Forsyth County, Mrs. Mills was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Annie Mae Charles;  sons, Lamar Danny Mills and William Allen Mills; sister, Linda Charles and brothers, Harold, Billy, Harrison and Kenneth Charles.

Survivors include her husband, Leman James Mills of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Perry Cash of Cumming, Deborah and Eddie Waters of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Theresa Mills of Dawsonville; sisters, Carolyn Cronan of Cumming, Ellen Connelly of Loganville and Janie Wilson of Lawrenceville; brother, Ricky Charles of North Port, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Brian Phillips, Denise Salyers, Ashley Waters and Kendal Waters, Mike Mills, Brian Mills and Stacey Mills; 11 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Richard officiating.

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
