Hayden sets new school record in discus

Hayden Wilson set a new school record in the discus at the 2012 State Track Meet at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany last Friday.
Wilson threw 113’9” to finish in fifth place in the event.
The Lady Tiger picked up four points for her team with her final standing.
Dawson County teammate Kristy Martin finished in 15th place in the discus with a throw of 90’5.”
Winning the event was Haley Reynolds from Gordon Central. Reynolds recorded a throw of 131’11.”
Reynolds also won the state shot put crown.
Finishing in second place was Whitney Wilson of Northeast Macon. Wilson threw the discus 124 feet.
Greater Atlanta Christian captured the team title.
The Lady Spartans totaled 59.25 points.
Coming in second place was Blessed Trinity High School with a 3-day total of 54 points.
Head Coach Arron Haynes' team camp in 31st place with the 4 points that Wilson earned in her event.
The season concluded with the state event in Albany.
