Gene H. Anderson

Gene H. Anderson, 75, of Canton, died May 3, 2012.

Born Dec. 25, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Ga. to the late Oscar and Sarah Anderson, he lived most of his life in Vidalia before moving to Canton in 2006.

Mr. Anderson was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

His brothers, Jack Anderson and John Anderson, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Gene Paul Anderson of Suches, Christina “Cissy” Moye, Barbara Carnes, both of Dawsonville, Rhett Jay, Stan Jay, both of Vidalia; seven grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services and internment was held in Vidalia.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
