Faye Mathis Martin, 96, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County, died April 26, 2012.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin operated Martin's Greenhouses for more than 50 years.

Her husband of 78 years, Claude Benson Martin; parents, Henry and Azzie Lee Mathis; six brothers, Dewey Mathis, Glen Mathis, Carl Mathis, Claude Mathis, Candler Mathis and Charlie Mathis, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Phyllis Martin; grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon and Leshia Martin, Corey and Amanda Martin, Dana and Phillip Pratt; 10 great-grandchildren; caregiver, Becky McBrayer; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. April 28 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
