The eighth annual spring Kiwanis run titled "Cinco de Run-O" is set for Saturday.

The race is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.

The event is a certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier and all proceeds will benefit local children's charities, including The Rainbow House, a home for abused and neglected children.

Awards for the 5K and 10K include overall male and female winners, and recognition of the top three winners in each five-year age group category starting at 10 years and under.

Informational packets will be available for pick-up from 4-7 p.m. Friday and 7-7:45 a.m. Saturday at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.
