The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Small Business Development Center to offer a series of seminars designed to propel local business to the next level.

Maximum Money is an interactive course geared to help entrepreneurs and managers develop sound financial strategies that boost business.

The five-part workshop will guide participants through the process of budget creation, understanding cash flow, planning for the unexpected, boosting cash flow and profits, identify strategies to address short-falls in cash or learn how to manage a surplus, understanding financial reports and more.

During the sessions, participants will also learn to effectively manage processes that lead to a better understanding of their company's finances.

The peer learning atmosphere is designed to provide feedback and insight into the challenges other business owners face.

The class will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. each Wednesday morning in May (beginning May 2) in the upstairs meeting room at Best Western, at 79 North Georgia Avenue, Dawsonville.

"Thanks to grant funding through SBA, the chamber is able to offer it for $50 for the entire program, including materials," said Linda Williams, chamber president.

The workshop has been offered around the state at $195 per person.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
