James "Herbert" Brannon, 81, of Dahlonega, died March 20, 2012. He was a member of North Roswell Baptist Church.

His wife, Geraldine Brannon; son, Lamar Brannon and daughter, Sue Lynn Lewis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Glenda Brannon of Dahlonega; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Steve Curly of Dawsonville, Pamela and Jimmy Holtzclaw of Flowery Branch; sister, Jeanette Woodall of Ball Ground; brother, Atward Brannon of Atlanta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 22 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ray Gober and Glendon Williams officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
