Rita Garmon

Rita Garmon, 56, of Cumming, died March 10, 2012.

Rita enjoyed traveling and was an active member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.

Her parents, Thurman and Yonnie Cook; in-laws, Paul and Ilene Garmon; brother, Marcus Cook; stepfather, Sam Norris, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Garmon; children, David and Christy Watson, Amy and Jason Murphy, Byron and Wanda Garmon, Gregory Garmon, all of Cumming, Randy Garmon of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Sandra Cook of Eatonton, Kenneth and Jean Cook of Dawsonville; sisters-in-law and husbands, Marsha and Tony Phillips of Monticello, Kathy and Randall Holbrooks, Karen and Steve Majors, all of Cumming; 10 grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 14 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ted Miller and David Tinsley officiating.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
