Lady Eagles blank Jasper

POSTED: March 6, 2012 4:56 p.m.

The Riverview Middle School girls soccer team defeated Jasper Middle School 9-0 last week in Dawsonville.

"This was the best passing game we have had this year," said head coach John Lundy. "The girls really worked together, which allowed seven different players to score."

Scoring one goal each for the Lady Eagles were: Isabella Elliott, Emily Queen, Melanie Rimawi, Madison Callas, Makenzie Callas and Mackenzie Rhodes.

Scoring three goals for Riverview was Kathryn Ryerse.

According to Lundy, the Lady Eagles were led on defense by Tina Libao, Ava Walker and Heather Brady.

"These girls were stellar in defense for us today," he said.

"The girls are doing some great things and improving with each game," Lundy added.

Riverview is currently 3-0-1 on the season.

The team will play at 4:15 p.m. Friday at Clear Creek.
