Dora Mae Walker

Dora Mae Walker, 87, of Dahlonega, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008.

  

Mrs. Walker was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

  

She was retired from Learning Tree in Dahlonega.

  

She was the daughter of the late Harve and Callie Seabolt Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Walker and two children, Doris Martin and Virgil Sisk.

  

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and R.F. Cain of Dahlonega; daughter, Joyce Martin of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Martha Sisk of Dahlonega; son, Ronnie Sisk of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Karen Davis of Dahlonega, A.C. and Ophelia Davis of Dawsonville; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Revs. Lyman Caldwell and Roger Stover officiating.

  

Interment followed in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
