Lady Tigers still undefeated

The Dawson County Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team remains undefeated after manhandling Fannin County, 31-6, last week.

Coach Tina Brown's team is currently 8-0 for the season.

The Lady Tigers didn't allow Fannin a single point in the first half and opened up a 22-0 lead at the break.

Haley Burgess led Dawson in scoring with 13 points.

Lady Tigers scorers: H. Burgess - 13 points, Ansley Costley - 6 points, Peytan Porter - 4 points, Lauren Burgess - 3 points, Summer Vaughan - 2 points, Brittany Griggs - 2 points and Karlie Bearden - 1 point.

The team will be back in action at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Jasper Middle School.
