Badcock names new manager

POSTED: January 11, 2012 4:00 a.m.

A furniture designer is the new general manager at Badcock Home Furniture and More in Dawsonville.

Fritz Verbarg, 50, of Dawsonville, accepted the position late last year after working for the company nearly 13 months.

"I started just over a year ago as a one day temp for delivery. Eventually that turned into fulltime and later I was promoted to assistant manager," he said.

With a leadership style focused on strong customer service, Verbarg said customers will be met with a positive atmosphere and greeted with sales staff dedicated to creating a helpful shopping experience.

"We shy away from the high pressure sale and let the product speak for itself," he said. "We're here to inform the customer and meet their needs."

From appliances and electronics to furniture and bedding, Badcock Home Furniture and More offers a variety of options that can be ordered and delivered within two to three days. Merchandise is also available to take home off the showroom floor.

"We have a large assortment of flat screen TVs and digital media like Xbox and Wii systems, laptop and personal computers," he said.

Badcock also offers flexible financing packages.

Badcock Home Furniture and More is located at 66 South 400 Center Lane, Suite 130, Dawsonville.

The store is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.
