Robert John Carlisle, 53, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 5, 2011.

Born Sept. 16, 1958, Mr. Carlisle was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

He was a 1976 graduate of Dawson County High School and worked most of his career in residential construction.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Benny Carlisle; sister, Peggy Jean Carlisle; and brother, Michael Ramey.

Survivors include his children, Cinthia and Jason Fawcett of Dawsonville, Chris Carlisle of Dahlonega, Benny Joe Carlisle of Jasper, Zachary Carlisle, Andrew Carlisle, Shyann Carlisle, all of Canton; mother, Alberta Carlisle of Dawsonville; sister, Marilyn Thomason of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Katlyn Graham, Aliyah Fawcett, Lukas Fawcett, Preston Fawcett; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with final expenses.
