Allen Beavers

Allen Beavers, 58, of Ellijay, died Dec. 3, 2011.

Born Nov. 28, 1953, in Chatsworth to the late Clyde and Ida Mae Beavers, he had lived in Gilmer County for the past 20 years, having moved from Dawson County.

Mr. Beavers was formerly employed in the poultry industry and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

His daughter, Tabatha Priest, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Reece Beavers of Ellijay; stepchildren, Robert and Tammy Reece of Athens, Brenda Sue Lester, Becky Hardin, Tony Grindle, all of Ellijay, Lori and Bobby Grant of Dawsonville, Joann and Richard "Jabo" Adams of Dahlonega; sister, Jessie Mae Beavers of Eton; several stepbrothers and sisters; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Rodney Pilcher and Joseph Simmons officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
