The Dawson County Middle School wrestling team will open the season against cross-county rival Riverview Middle School this Thursday.

The match will begin at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Riverview Middle School.

Dawson County Middle School Head Coach Thomy Edwards' team has been practicing in hopes of putting together a great year.

"The team this year does not have as many wrestlers as in the past, but the quality is just as good if not better," Edwards said.

"About half the team has wrestled before, but we have many that have never wrestled before in their lives," he added. "As far as first year wrestlers that have a lot of talent. I am really looking forward to this season."

Edwards has scheduled 10 matches for the upcoming season for his team.
