Louise Proud, 88, of Dawsonville, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008.

  

Mrs. Proud was a native of Columbus, S.C., a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

  

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Marion Hammer of Tallahassee, Fla., Carolyn and F.L. Davis of Dawsonville; sister, Betty Neal of Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

A private family graveside service was held Nov. 11 at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
