Local authorities have made two more arrests in connection with a string of thefts in Dawson and Forsyth counties last month.

Nathan Seth Davis, 17, was taken into custody in Forsyth County on Sept. 28 on burglary, theft by taking and criminal trespass warrants. He is being held without bond at the Dawson County Law Enforcement Center.

Roger William Brumbelow, 23, turned himself into Dawson County officials Sunday and was released two days later. He is charged with burglary and theft by receiving stolen property.

The theft case began to unfold Sept. 21 following the arrest of Calvin Blackstone, 31, of Dawsonville, who was wanted for a probation violation.

Sheriff's Cpl. Jimmi Smith spotted a laptop computer in the backseat of Blackstone's vehicle while serving the warrant on him Sept. 21, according to Dawson County Sheriff's Capt. Tony Wooten.

Earlier that morning, Smith had taken a report from a resident whose laptop computer had been stolen.

Blackstone later told authorities he had gotten the computer from a home in north Forsyth.

The next night, armed with a warrant, Dawson and Forsyth investigators searched the residence off Knight Road, where authorities recovered several items taken during recent thefts from homes and vehicles.

An additional suspect, Jonathan Lamar Brumbelow, 19, also of Forsyth County, was arrested at the home on theft and burglary charges.

The group has been linked to at least three reports of entering automobiles and one burglary in Dawson County.

"We're continuing to look into other possible cases," said Wooten, adding that the men are also likely suspects in numerous thefts in Forsyth.
