Mary Frances Higgins

Mary Frances Higgins, 73, of Dahlonega, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Gold City Nursing Center.

She was surrounded by her loving family when she died.

A native of Hall County, she had lived in Dahlonega for the past four years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Higgins; parents, Harvey J. Shubert and Ara Hayes Shubert; two brothers, Charles and Clarence Shubert; sisters, Clara Bell Kidd, Geraldine Smith and Jesse Faye Mobley.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sherri Higgins of Monmouth, Ore.; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and J.T. Thomason of Mayesville, Debbie and Davin Kates of Cumming, Lesia and Troy Coleman of Cleveland, April and Steve Williamson of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Linda Shubert, Bobby and Patsy Shubert, Buddy (William) Shubert, all of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren, Lenny and May Higgins, Rodney, Scottie and Nikki Thomason, Shannon and Casey Waters, Jessica, Christopher and Dustin Coleman, Paige, Ben, Kayla Weaver, Becky White, Brett and Kyle Williamson; five great-grandchildren, Scout and Braylen Higgins, Kim, Kelly and Grayson Thomason and there is also one on the way; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Higgins were Saturday, June 28 at 1 p.m. from the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
