ASK THE EXPERTS

Thank you Dawson County

POSTED: June 22, 2011 4:00 a.m.

There is more to Girl Scouts than cookies and camping.

It is girl leadership, time management, public speaking, decision making, teamwork, money management and community service.

A partial list of service projects include food drives for RIC Rack, drink can tabs for Ronald McDonald House, "No One Alone" shelter, and aiding Hurricane Katrina evacuees, in addition to individual projects girls design for Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

This year your support of girl scouting has been outstanding!

The troops of Dawson County sold more than 13,000 boxes of cookies to help satisfy your love of Girl Scout cookies.
