Denver Eugene Grigsby

Denver Eugene Grigsby, 70, of Dawsonville, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness.

  

Born in Harriman, Tenn., he had lived in Dawson County for the past 41 years. Mr. Grigsby retired from Georgia Power Company after 22 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Myrtle Grigsby; sisters, Lucille Barr, Dorothy Parham; brother, Chester Grigsby.

  

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Grigsby of Dawsonville; children, Ronnie and Wanda Grigsby of Dawsonville, Nita and Chad Rogers of Gainesville; grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna Cantin, Kevin Grigsby, Corey and Melissa Cantin, Drew and Jessica Grigsby, Sam Grigsby, Shanee Alesi, Michelle Grigsby; great-grandchildren, Natalie Cantin, Madilen Grigsby, Preston Cantin; nephew, Michael Eugene Allen; various other relatives also survive.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.

  Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
