Willie Mae Smith

Willie Mae Smith, 80, of Cumming, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008.

  

She was a member of Hightower Baptist Church.

  

Her husband, Edsel Smith; brother, Hulon Andrews and parents, John Henry and Myrtle Andrews, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and David Turner of Dawsonville; two grandchildren, Michell and Clint Smith of Cumming, Matthew and Brandi Turner of Dawsonville; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Connor Smith of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Clinton Griffin of Cumming; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Annie Laura Smith, Mary Chumbler, Betty Perry, Hugh and Joyce Smith, all of Cumming; special caregiver, Martha Power of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. at Hightower Baptist Church with Revs. Gerral Richards, Clint Smith and Greg Hamilton officiating.

  

Entombment followed in Sawnee View Gardens.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to be made to the American Hospice Foundation, 2120 L. Street, NW Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
