POSTED: December 21, 2010 4:30 p.m.

Junior Varsity Head Coach Anne Hyams’ girls basketball team defeated Hebron Christian Academy on Dec. 11 in Dawsonville.

The Lady Tigers pulled out a 40-34, come from behind win in overtime.

The score was tied at 33-33 as time expired in regulation. Dawson went on a 7-1 run in overtime to take the six point win.

Samie Smith led the scoring attack with 10 points for the Lady Tigers, followed by Kacie Bearden’s nine points.

Whitney Glover added seven, Hayden Wilson and Madison Shope each had four, and Hannah Swafford, Emily Ayers and Hannah Moye contributed two points each.

The Lady Tigers game with North Forsyth was cancelled due to weather and will probably not be rescheduled, according to school officials.

Dawson will be back in action against Woody Gap on Jan. 4.

Tip-off will be at 5:30 p.m.
