Cottage Concert Series set to begin this Friday

POSTED: October 12, 2008 5:03 a.m.

The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce will host the first Cottage Concert Series at Peach Brandy Cottage Oct. 3.

The Bird Dogs, an Atlanta-based acoustic trio, will be the concert’s featured band.

“We are looking forward to an intimate group of friends that can enjoy the beauty of the fall weather, while enjoying music that is a mix of outlaw country, R&B and classic rock,” said Linda Williams, president of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce.

The outside event will feature music, drinks and food. Guests can decide between pulled pork, rib-eye steaks and salmon with vodka sauce for their meal.

There are three different pricing groups for the event. For those who only want to attend the Cottage Concert for the music entertainment, tickets are $25. For those who want to come for the concert and dinner, tickets are $50 per person. If a group wants to purchase a table for six, the price is $275. All ticket holders will receive two complimentary drink tickets.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time by contacting the chamber office at (706) 265-6278.

Peach Brandy Cottage is located on Hwy. 9 South, just a half a mile from the historic Dawsonville Square. The gate will open at 6:45 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:45 p.m.

The proceeds from this event will go to supplement the chamber’s budget.
