Backelant/Eidson announce engagement

Andrew and Cynthia Backelant of Dawsonville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Lynn Backelant to Jason William Eidson.

He is the son of James and Teri Eidson of Cumming and Kim and Ricky Cain of Dawsonville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bernadette Schatz and the late Rex E. Rushford of Daytona, Fla. and Gustave and Linda Backelant of Jefferson and Tamsey and Ken Raines of Marthon, Fla.

The groom-elect is the grandson of William and Dorothy Eidson and Elmer and Virginia Fugate.

Ms. Backelant is a 2003 graduate of Dawson County High School. She is currently an insurance licensing processor for World Financial Group in Duluth, Ga.

Mr. Eidson is a 2002 graduate of Dawson County High School. His is currently a manager of the KB Toys Store in Dawsonville.
