Rondall L. "Ron" Ward

Rondall L. "Ron" Ward, 69, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 27, 2010.

  

Born Dec. 13, 1940 to the late Leon and Ruby Ward, he lived in Dawson County all but 13 years, when he lived in Jacksonville, Fla.

  

Mr. Ward was a long distance truck driver with over three and half million miles of service with no accidents.

  

A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all.

  

His loving wife of 49 years, Sue Ward; brothers, Johnny, Bobby, Tim and Joe Ward; and sister, Carolyn Savage, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Ward of McDonough, Marty and Stefanie Ward, Scott Ward, all of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Benny and Willie Ward of Hampton, Richard and Labraye Ward of Macedonia, James and Nancy Ward of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Emmit Ward of Douglasville; sister, Jewell Ward of Douglasville; grandchildren, Stephanie Ward, Brittany Ward, Jacob Ward, Ronnie Ward, Jeri Ward, Candice Ward; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Aug. 29 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Stephen Davis and Leonard W. Ridings officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
