George Talmadge McGinnis, 76, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 29, 2010.

  

He was a member of Roswell Second Baptist Church.

  

Mr. McGinnis was a veteran of the Korean War and loved to fish.

  

Survivors include his wife, Faye McGinnis of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Karen McGinnis of Flowery Branch, David and Lisa McGinnis of Dawsonville; sisters, Joe Payne, Becky Sutton, Florence Gravitt; grandchildren, Casey, Cody, Collin and Connor McGinnis, Amanda Iezzi, Andrew McGinnis, Tasha Sowards, Ashley Burdette; great-grandchild, Izak Sowards; various other relatives also survive.

  

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Carl Jameson officiating.

  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2-9 p.m. Sept. 1, as well as from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Sept. 2.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
