Grover S. Anderson

Grover S. Anderson, 81, of Pickens County, formerly of Dawsonville, died Aug. 26, 2010.

  

Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Lumpkin County to the late Grover and Florence Anderson.

  

He owned and operated Andy's Barber Shop in Atlanta until retiring in 1998.

  

Grover was loved by everyone, was an avid outdoorsman who loved bicycling.

  

He had a very outgoing personality, a great sense of humor and always had a fast Ford, which was never caught by revenuers.

  

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Cindy Anderson of Milledgeville, Jerry and Michelle Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho, Marvin and Josie Anderson of Cumming; grandchildren, Ricky, Shannon, Christopher, Jake, Bodie, Andy, Chase and Katty; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
