A 53-year-old Dawson County man was arrested Monday on charges that he molested a young boy.

Louis Renevillia Jr.  is charged with three counts each of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

He has also been charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy.

According to arrest warrants, the alleged sexual abuse began in February and continued until June.

The boy, who Dawson County Sheriff’s Lt. Tony Wooten said is younger than age 16, also reported watching pornographic movies with the suspect.

Wooten said the alleged contact occurred at Renevillia’s home on Vandivere Road, though at least one incident reportedly happened at a nearby home.

A member of the boy’s family reported the abuse to the sheriff’s office Friday.

Renevillia was taken into custody Monday afternoon and was scheduled to appear before a magistrate judge Tuesday for a first appearance hearing.

According to Georgia statute, only a Superior Court judge can set bond on aggravated child molestation charges.
