Donald Whitmire

Donald Whitmire, 52, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 5, 2010.

  

A lifelong resident of Dawson County, Donald was a 1976 graduate of Dawson County High School and attended Lanier Technical School.

  

He was a lover of all sports, and was a dedicated son, brother and uncle.

  

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

  

Survivors include his parents, J.C. and Emma Dean Whitmire of Dawsonville; brothers, David Whitmire and Jennifer Cash of Dawsonville, Dale Whitmire and Teresa Headrick of Flowery Branch; nieces, Courtney Headrick, Jennifer Satterfield, Taylor Cash; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Revs. Mitchell Rickett and Bobby Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
