The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Elaine Carter of Dawsonville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Wynette Burkhalter of Claxton.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

A rehearsal dinner was given on June 17 by the bride’s parents in Negril, Jamaica.

The groom’s parents hosted a reception for the couple June 26 at the Burkhalter Cabin in Glennville.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception for the couple July 15 at the Carter home in Dawsonville.

After honeymooning in Jamaica, the couple has made their home in Savannah.
