Joe H. Wood Sr.

Joe H. Wood Sr. died April 28, 2010.

  

He was born Jan. 1, 1932.

  

Joe served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953. He came to Dawsonville in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina took his home.

  

He was very active in the Dawson County Senior Center and was loved by all.

  

Survivors include his wife, Connie Wood; children, Karen Waterhouse, Cindy (Terry) Gillim, all of Dawsonville, Joe H. (Margaret) Wood Jr. of Branford Fla., Pamela Lindley of Clinton, Mo., Terry L. (Ed) Breeden of Fargo, N.D.; nephew, Matthew M. Garcia of Dawsonville; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.

  

Byars Funeral Home of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
