Former Dawson County High School Tiger football player Chad Cunningham participated in Tennessee’s spring football game on April 17.

Cunningham, who played under Dawson County football coach Jeff Lee, averaged 40.4 yards per punt on five punts during the game.

The White team defeated the Orange team 16-7 in the scrimmage.

Cunningham is currently ranked eighth in Tennessee history with an average of 40.8 yards per kick. He is listed behind Vol greats such as Jimmy, Britton, Dustin and Craig Colquitt. Cunningham will play this year for new Vol Head Coach Derek Dooly.
