Gary Floyd Hewatt

Gary Floyd Hewatt, 54, of Auburn, Ga., died March 20, 2010.

  

The son of Dorothy Hewatt of Sugar Hill and the late Pastor Ray Hewatt, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Mark Hewatt; and brothers-in-law, Dan Chapman, David Broome and Kevin Grimes.

  

Gary loved Harleys, hot rods and racing. He also loved his cats and had a passion for fishing.

  

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sons, Adam (Amy) Hewatt of Auburn, Ga., Seth Hewatt of Atlanta; grandchildren, Blaine L. Hewatt of Auburn, Ga., Dustin Nelson of Lawrenceville; sisters, Raylene Chapman of Dahlonega, JoAnn (Donald) Chapman, Jane (David) Pritchett, all of Dawsonville, Cheryl Broome of Sugar Hill, Carol (Keith) Pritchett of Canton, Charlene Grimes of Talking Rock, Jennifer (Jerry) Blevins of Auburn, Ga., Michelle (Randy) Bentley of Ellijay; brothers, Jerry (Joyce) Hewatt of Snellville, Keith (Debora) Hewatt of Toccoa, Tim (Toni) Hewatt of Cumming, Nathan (Sherry) Hewatt of Cornelia; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 23 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

  

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
