The 8-AA All-Region boys basketball team was announced Monday.

Player-of-the-year, as voted on by the region coaches, was Tanner Plemmons from Rabun County.

Placing two players on the All-Region team were Rabun County, Riverside Military Academy and Jefferson.

Jacob Evans was the lone Tiger to make the first team.

Dawson County point guard, Stephen Scaife, was named an honorable mention.

The 8-AA All-Region First Team are: Tanner Plemmons (Rabun County), Corey Paige (Rabun County), Chris Peters (Walnut Grove), Brett Armour (Banks County), Duveriux Jones (Oglethorpe County), Jacob Evans (Dawson County), Richard Tribble (Riverside Military), Dylen Setzekorn (Riverside Military), Darius Minor (Jefferson), J.J. Damons (Jefferson), Brandon Garrett (East Jackson) and Jordan Farmer (Fannin County).
