Donald Ray Heady, 54, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 20, 2010.

  

Born Sept. 23, 1955 in Peoria, Ill., Mr. Heady had lived in Dawson County for the past 8 years having moved from Gainesville.

  

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and was preceded in death by his father, Vernon D. Heady Sr.; brothers, Vernon D. Heady Jr., Curt Alan Heady and Dennis Eugene Heady.

  

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Gladys and Robert Webb of Creve Coeur, Ill.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mike Weller of East Peoria, Ill.; various other relatives also survive.

  

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
