Council swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday

The public is invited to meet Dawsonville’s two new councilmen Tuesday afternoon as Calvin Byrd and James Grogan are sworn into office.

  

A formal ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 in the G.L. Pete Gilleland Council Chambers at the Dawsonville Municipal Complex.

  

Byrd and Grogan, who were elected to four-year terms Nov. 3 from six candidates vying for the seats, will also be available after the swearing-in ceremony to meet the public.

  

Both said they look forward to meeting the citizens of Dawsonville and hearing what they have to say. 

  

Byrd and Grogan will take office on Jan. 1.
