Asa Downs

Asa Downs, 34, of Oakwood, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.

  

Born May 2, 1975 in Jacksonville, Fla., he had lived in Oakwood the past year, having moved from Lawrenceville. Mr. Downs was employed in commercial sales with Auto Zone in Cumming and was loved by all.

  

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Downs of Oakwood; mother, Tongi Roden of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; father, Asa Floyd of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Leigh Ann West of Ball Ground; brothers, Jason Downs of Washington, Ga., Barry Downs of Manning, S.C.; grandparents, B.J. and Evelyn Campbell of Jesup; father-in-law, Jake Kelley of Dawsonville; stepfather, Ron Downs of Manning, S.C.; various other relatives also survive.

  

The family received friends from 5-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 and Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the funeral home.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
