Athar Delano Bowen

Athar Delano Bowen, 65, of Dawsonville, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009.

  

Born in Marshall County, Ala., he was the son of Leamon Arlis and Anna Mae Bowen.

  

He was a member of First Baptist Church Dawsonville.

  

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lane Bowen of Dawsonville; son, Cliff Bowen of Cumming; sister, Amanda Randolph of Gainesville; mother-in-law, Betty Lane; daughter-in-law, Caryn Conley Bowen; son-in-law, Chad Randolph; brothers, Erbon Bowen and J.W. Bowen of Joppa, Ala.; sisters, Anna Ruth Headman of Douglasville, Earl Dean Nichols of Dunwoody, Laurel Casey of Guntersville, Ala.; grandchildren, Brandon Paden, Preston Burnett, Emma Bowen, Avery Bowen, J.C. Bowen, Tyson Randolph, Cameron Randolph and Kassie Randolph; various other relatives also survive.

  

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church Dawsonville with the Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

  

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested made to the American Heart or Diabetes Associations.

  

Direct Funeral Services Albuquerque, N.M. was in charge of the arrangements.
