Mark Alan King

Mark Alan King, 47, of Blairsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009.

  

He was born Aug. 29, 1962 in Boston, Mass., the son of Charles W. King, Jr. and Barbara Munro King.

  

Mark was a loving father, son, brother and grandfather.

  

He enjoyed cooking, boating and hunting and will be remembered for his boisterous laugh and love of his children.

  

Mark was a member of the Rotary and the Lions Club, and owner of Mark King Insurance Agency of Blairsville.

  

Survivors include his parents, Charles W. King and Sandy King of Wheaton, Ill.; mother, Barbara M. King of Snellville; four children, Peyton King of Monroe, Savannah, Isaac and Zachary King, all of Blairsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Betsy King of Dawsonville, Paul King of Snellville; two grandchildren, Hadynne and Jadynne; various other relatives also survive.

  

A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Deckard.

  

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made to the college fund for Mark's surviving children in care of the Nantahala Bank in Blairsville, Ga.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
