Maggie Jane Bruce Thomas

Maggie Jane Bruce Thomas, 75, of Morrow, died Aug. 27, 2009.

  

Maggie was born June 21, 1934 to the late Frank and Mary Bruce.

  

Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated a fresh produce business at the Atlanta Farmers Market in Forest Park.

  

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Thornton of Atlanta; son, Marcus Shelton of Dawsonville; sisters, Lavada Parker of Apopka, Fla., Mary Elizabeth Martin of Douglasville; brothers, Frank Lewis Bruce of Decatur, Roy Bruce of Douglasville; various other relatives also survive.

  

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13 at Bearden Funeral Home.

  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Maggie Thomas Memorial at any of the following organizations: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
