A 45-year-old Dawsonville man is being held without bail on allegations that he raped a teen family member.

Victor Charles Damiano is charged with rape, three counts of aggravated child molestation and incest.

“Two of the aggravated child molestation counts resulted from acts of sodomy against the victim. The other aggravated child molestation charge is the result of injuries sustained in the commission of the rape,” said Dawson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Tony Wooten.

The victim, a 13-year-old girl, sustained injuries during the alleged assault, which led to her treatment at a local hospital and the sheriff’s office to open an investigation.

Damiano was questioned and taken into custody after authorities were notified of the alleged rape.

The incident allegedly took place Aug. 1 in a travel camper belonging to Damiano, according to arrest warrants.

Damiano also faces one charge each of enticing a minor for indecent purposes and contributing the delinquency of a minor.
