Lou Austin, 80, of Cumming, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 following an extended illness.

 

She was a member of River of Life Church of God.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt T. Austin, Jr.

 

Survivors include her children, Faye and Mike Preston of Stockbridge, Ray and Becky Bryan of Fayetteville, Gail and Lester Scott of Fayetteville, Tony and Eva Austin of Cumming, Randy and Connie Austin of Dawsonville; Tina and Belon Payne of Cumming; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Dorminy of Thomaston; sisters-in-law, Juanita Brookshire of Covington, Mavis Brookshire of Alabama, Diane Moss, Sara Mae Pair, Sylvia Crumbley, all of McDonough; friend of the family, Kenneth Dalton of Stockbridge; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 11 a.m. at River of Life Church of God with Revs. Jason Bailey, James Kanaday and Palmour Loggins officiating.

 

Interment followed in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough.

 

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
