Althea Ann Lacey

Althea Ann Lacey, 55, of Gainesville (Forsyth County) died Sunday, July 19, 2009.

  

A native of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Lacey had lived in Forsyth County for the past 10 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University and a member of First Baptist Church on Green Street.

  

Her father, John Fitch, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her husband, Gary Lacey of Gainesville; daughters, Summer Smith of Mt. Airy, Ellen Joyner of Chattanooga, Tenn., Rachel Early of Chatsworth; son, Gary Lacey, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn.; mother, Helen Fitch of Louisiana; grandchildren, Kailie, Brandon, Emily, Sylvia, Nandia, Kyland, Ethan, Gary III and Sidney; various other relatives also survive.

  

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21 in the First Baptist Church Chapel on Green Street with the Rev. Bruce Fields officiating.

  

In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to the Stephen Ministry, c/o First Baptist Church, 751 Green Street, Gainesville, GA 30501.

  

Mason & Ward Funeral Home of Gainesville was in charge of the arrangements.
