Evelyn Inez Drewery Lombardo

POSTED: July 1, 2009 4:00 a.m.

Evelyn Inez Drewery Lombardo, 82, of Cumming, died June 24, 2009.

A native of East Texas and a longtime resident of Forsyth and Dawson counties, she was the daughter of the late William and Inez Drewery.

Evelyn was born in Texas before common people had electric lights, cars or televisions. Supermarket chains and fast food restaurants also did not exist.

Evelyn had a profound effect on all she met because she always put before them God's Kingdom as mankind's only hope for a new heaven and new earth. In faith and obedience, she displayed loyal love to all. She will always be known first and foremost as a true ambassador of the King Christ Jesus and God's everlasting Kingdom (Isaiah 9:6, 7).

She and Albert Lombardo, Sr. were the parents of William Lombardo, Therese Lombardo-Brown, Albert R. Lombardo, Jr. and Joe L. Lombardo and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Hwy. 136, Dawsonville.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
