Over 100 students recognized for earning GED

About 120 people were recognized last week for earning their GED from the Adult Learning Center in Dawsonville. The June 8 ceremony was held at the Lakeview Center.

Close to 120 people were recently recognized for an accomplishment that will be a positive impact on their lives from now on.

 

The Adult Learning Center of Lanier Technical College held its first General Education Development (GED) reception to recognize those who had earned their diplomas in the past year, June 8 at the Lakeview Center.

 

Several organizations within the community, including the Dawson County Woman's Club and Dawson County Lions Club, were in attendance to award scholarships to deserving students who intend to further their education.

 

Lanier Tech's GED graduation ceremony will take place at 7 p.m., Aug. 21 at Free Chapel in Gainesville.
