Atlanta Junior Golf will host a tournament at Chestatee Golf Club in Dawsonville Tuesday, July 7.

The event is open to boys and girls ages 7 through 18. The tournament is one of many planned throughout Georgia this summer.

Golfers can enter in 9-hole and 18-hole division events.

Boys and girls, registered as members in the Golf Association, are eligible to participate in the tournament.

The Junior Golf Organization has created an efficient platform for youth and families to register for memberships and events through its Web site,  www.atlantajuniorgolf.org.

The site, powered by Wayne, Pa.-based Blue Golf, L.L.C., provides users much information about its signature Summer Series, fall season events, special events and Rules of Golf seminars.

The Atlanta Junior Golf Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) and gains its funding through memberships, sponsorships and contributions.

Contributions to the association are tax deductible by individuals and corporations alike.

The Atlanta Junior Golf Association is governed by a board of directors, made up of leading area business people, golf enthusiasts and golf professionals.

Members of the board serve as volunteers and help guide the activities of the organization.
