Evelyn Ruth Banner

Evelyn Ruth Banner, 91, of Dawsonville, died April 22, 2009.

  

The daughter of the late Elizabeth and Lawrence Childers, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Coleman Banner.

  

A long time resident of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Banner was a member of the Greenville Women's Club and the Buncombe Street Methodist Church.

  

She was an accountant with Mead Paper Company in Dayton, Ohio.

  

Mrs. Banner was a business-minded person who loved horse racing, her dog, Frou-Frou and especially her many friends.

  

Survivors include her niece, Lisa Gelpi of Greenville, S.C.; grandniece, Julia Osborne-Pikelney of Las Vegas, Nev.; various other relatives also survive.

  

A graveside service was held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on April 23.

  

McDonald and Son Funeral Home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
