Dawson County High School Tiger Josh Bolz picked up a hat trick, three goals, in an 8-0 shutout over Lakeview Academy last Wednesday.

It was a huge Area 15 win for Dawson County. The team is currently 10-3 on the season and 4-0 in Area 15 play.

Dawson was scheduled to play Union County last Friday, March 27, but due to weather, the game has been rescheduled for April 14 at Tiger Stadium. The game will also serve as senior night for the Tigers.

Dawson was scheduled to play Riverside yesterday. Results of the game were not available as of press time.

If the Tigers pull off the win, the team will go to the state tournament for the second year in a row. The game against Union County will then be important for seeding. If the Tigers defeat the Union County Panthers,  the team will capture first place.

Against Lakeview, the Tigers jumped out to a dominating 3-0 lead by halftime.

The Tigers continued to pour, literally since the teams played in a steady cold rain for the entire game, on the offense during the second half.

Seth Stowers contributed two goals, Mauricio Escobar had a goal, totaling his ninth of the season. Alex Cote also added to his team leading 12 goals by adding scoring against the Lions from Gainesville.

The last goal of the game was scored by Jacob Perry, marking his first score of the season.

The Tigers travel to Towns County Thursday for a clash with the Indians. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
